Good day, all! Seeing as I haven't updated this thing in a ridiculously long time and I have nothing better to do, I decided I could spare a few sentences.
I like college. :D
The people here are, for the most part, really cool, and my classes are, for the most part, really fun. All in all, I'm enjoying myself.
I have been listening to a ridiculous amount of of Montreal. I've loved them for a long time, but I now officially have all their stuff, and I can't get enough. Additionally, I got a bunch of fun, indie-ish/rock-ish/electronic-ish music from my friend, and it is similarly awesome. It seems since coming to college, I've become a bit of an indie kid, but not one of the obnoxious, "look at me, I'm so different and consequently better than you!" ones. Strange how these things happen.
Similarly, I've also become a "Kathryn", again. I introduced myself as such so as not to seem like one of those odd people who designates their own nickname, and it seems to have stuck. It wasn't odd, except Diana calls me "Kathryn" which is odd, and as Paige can attest to, others who are accustomed to calling me "Schroeder" might find themselves calling me "Kathryn." That was a bit odd, but oh well. I answer to either. Or, you know, everything but "Kathy."
Off campus, I find myself at my brother's apartment a lot. This may or may not be because it is ridiculously fun. I absolutely adore his roommates; they are fantastic people. One of 'em is the person I got all my great new music from. Yay! I often have many stories about them, but I'll spare you, dear livejournal, because I don't feel like typing much today.
I will say, however, that the three of them are trying, and succeeding, in getting me to watch Doctor Who. Thus far, I've only seen a couple episodes, but I like it's campy goodness.
So, yeah. I think that's all I've got for today. Perhaps I'll update again sometime before the year's over.

I am absolutely loving Summer Stage. The people are so amusing and so much fun, and I think the show's going to be fantastic. It's so funny; it is difficult to keep a straight face while on stage, but that's a good thing at this point. Tickets need to be ordered soon, so let me know if you want to come! The more the merrier; you all should come see me. :D And by "me," I mean "all the awesome people in the show."

Today, I had rehearsal, shock and awe, and now I have a story. I assure you that the awkwardness featured here is not commonplace, and thus far has only been really seen in this situation.

So, today the only people at rehearsal were the staff, the leads, the dancers, and a techie. We stopped rehearsal a half hour early to have a little 4th of July celebration, with lots of yummy food. During said celebration, I went to talk to Sarah (super nice; dancer), Garabed (boy dancer), and the techie. Then, the following happened:

Me: [to techie] Hi, I'm Kathryn. I don't believe we've met.
Techie: Hi, I'm Travis; yeah, we haven't been formally introduced.
Garabed: You know--
Sarah: Garabed, no.
Garabed: Why? I was--
Sarah: No.
[Sarah and Garabed- eye communication. G stops talking]
Sarah: I love how you understood what I meant! [goes over to G]
[Travis and I exchange confused looks]
Me: I have no idea what that's about.
Travis: Me, neither.
[Sarah moves away from Garabed. Short, non-awkward pause]
Garabed: I was just thinking. You two would have the prettiest babies.
[Sarah facepalms. Travis and I are stunned. Short awkward silence.]
Me: Uh...thanks, I guess?
Travis: ...um...thank you?
[SCENE END]

Who says that to someone? Never mind saying something like that to two people who had just met.
And if that's not enough, Garabed is now determined to set us up. I ended up walking out with Sarah, and Garabed tagged along:

Garabed: You could be the Bella to his Edward.
Me: I hate Twilight.
Sarah: Yes!
Garabed: Okay, Juliet to his Romeo.
Me: I don't want to kill myself.
Sarah: [to Garabed] You could wait at least four days after they've met.

Garabed continued to attempt to make comparisons, all of which failed. I don't understand, and I don't know what to do. I don't even know Garabed very well. Is creepy a good word for this? I think it is.

Now, read my update of goings on.

I am officially done with my job. I'm so happy! People were visibly sad, and my boss cried, which would have made me feel bad if I wasn't so ready to get out of there. That and if I had any emotions, I suppose. They got me a cake! And Jared sang a song when they brought the cake up. It's times like those that I wish I had a video camera on me at all times. I had to promise a bunch of people that I would visit all the time. And I had to laugh, Peter, a manager and next in line to own the place implored me, "Take me with you! Wherever you're going, take me with you!"

Orientation was amazing. Diana did a good job summarizing, so go read her summary. My experience differed a bit, as I was in a different group because COM is awesome (and math is optional) but nothing worth specifying. I expected her to elaborate on Andrew McFarland more, but I'm not upset that she didn't. That would probably have gone to strange and frightening places. I also must mention the bugs on the beds. I don't think they were actually bedbugs, but it was still insects in my sleeping area. That was not awesome.

I have spent several days doing nothing. It's been such a long time since I've been able to do that, and I love every minute of it.

I saw a free advanced screening of (500) Days of Summer. Everyone must go watch that movie when it's released to limited theaters. It's so good. I hadn't heard of it, and the trailer looked interesting, so I went, but the movie surpassed expectations. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is such a good actor. And, although it honestly didn't affect my perception of the movie, he's really cute. There was mention of a band, Spearmint. I looked them up, and I really like them, but it's apparently impossible to download any of their stuff, which is a shame. It's one of those fun, nonlinear stories, and there's a random dance sequence and a shot of, I kid you not, Han Solo. It's a lovely little indie flick that you all need to see.

Watch the trailer. That's not a suggestion; that's a requirement.

While in the theater before the movie, they were playing really bad music. One of the songs was Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" as sung by Alvin and the Chipmunks. I wanted to cry. The movie more than made up for it, though. That's saying a lot.

I'm really looking forward to Summerstage. I miss dance so much. The shows are 7/24 (7pm), 7/25 (7pm), 7/26 (2pm), 7/31 (7pm) and 8/1 (7pm). You all should come see me.

And last but not least, I miss everyone! I haven't seen anyone, aside from Diana at Orientation, in so long! This needs to be fixed. Right now. Let's do stuff this summer!

Paul Rudd

I Love You, Man is awesome, it must be said. Jason Segel and Paul Rudd are hysterical. Additionally, Paul Rudd is more adorable than I can stand, and I really have no problem with that.

There is slightly more of a point to this post than to say how cute Paul Rudd is, however. My brother and his friends all have a sort of low-grade obsession with Paul Rudd. AKA, they will see anything that has any bit of him in it, [see: Monsters VS Aliens] <strike>I might start to do this as well,</strike> and they think he is one of the coolest people ever. Side note: They hold a similar view of Robert Downey, Jr. They've got good taste. XD This group of people also happen to own/run a movie-related website, Fake-Reel. On this site, I happened to come across a post that greatly amused me. I'll just re-post it here:

"Paul Rudd as Peter Klaven is getting married but realizes he dosen’t have any male friends. So in the time between his engagement and wedding he must find someone to be his best man. He does appear to have a brother but if Andy Sanberg was my brother I wouldn’t ask him either. Rudd eventually finds Jason Segel and they become friends."

The important thing is all of the links found in that short plot summary bit. (There's more to the post, but this is the important part.) Did you click? Yeah, they all lead to a picture of Paul Rudd. This picture of Paul Rudd for those who don't feel like clicking.

I'm amused. Also, Reno 911! is on. XD

I want to write a screenplay. I don't know what about, yet, but it's going to happen. (Thank you, again, my darling. XD)

Life has been getting stupidly stressful and out of hand. And by "has been getting" I mean "is way past." We need to not let this happen. Or at least to ignore it for a while. Let's make a movie. It'll be fun. <strike>What on earth is up with these stupid, little, fragmented sentences?</strike>

Everyone knows, but I got into Boston University. I don't know for sure where I'm going yet, but it's nice to have the options. No word from NYU, yet. I don't think I got in, but I'm alright with that.

My room is a mess.

I want to watch a good movie. Like, an excellent movie. Possibly an arty movie. Maybe Brideshead Revisited, because it's nearly obscure, it's British, and it has <strike>a brunette and lovely</strike> Matthew Goode in it.

My brother is yelling at his friends over XBox live. I like my brother, but he is an incredibly loud individual. Knocking on the wall has become a sign that I want him to turn down the volume, so to speak. Then someone dies in the game or a virtual high stress situation kicks in, and he forgets that it's after midnight and I have school in the morning.

I need to stop losing the assignment papers for English seminar papers so that I don't have to keep asking for copies the day before they're due.

Anyone have a suggestion for a really good book to read?

I feel like doing something awesome and artistic, but the result is generally doesn't end up the way it was in my head. I wish that didn't happen.

I got my license. Finally. Better late than never, I suppose.

I should preregister. I really should. Why haven't I, yet? I also am pretty excited to start my Sally Jupiter costume. I'm always really modest by way of dress; I've accepted wearing a somewhat skanky outfit for once. XD It should be fun to make, too. I just need help with a wig; I'm not familiar with such things.

So, how's everyone doing? There seems like there's no time to talk anymore; that's really sad.

I've officially gotten into college. ^_^ I wonder if I'll get in anywhere else.

Random, completely unrelated story. Know how I have that dresser thing near my closet that's like 4-5 feet tall? I went over to get something from my closet, and when I shut the door, there were little paw prints about 6 feet from the bottom. Presumably, they were reaching up on their hind legs, but I've got no clue as to what they were going for. XD I was amused.

I'm reading Things Fall Apart right now. I do not like this book. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't both poorly written and uninteresting. All I'm asking for is one of the above! Honestly, "reading" might not be the best word. "Skimming for mention of Okonkwo" is probably more appropriate. I found a place that should have had a comma but didn't, and it almost made me cry. I thought that's the kind of stuff editors take care of. A somewhat positive aspect of the book, however, is the fact that it keeps mentioning "evil forests" which keeps making me think of Evil Dead. That is not so bad. XD
Side note: Apparently, "Okonkwo" is spelled incorrectly. It should actually be "Gangway" or "Eggnog." Or "Eggnog's." In what scenario would one use "eggnog's." I was unaware that eggnog often possesses things.

I hate to say it, but I'm really starting to become afraid of the Watchmen movie.
I always go into movies based off of stuff that I like with no expectation that it will be the same as the source, such as the Harry Potter movies. I view them as two different entities, so I don't get disappointed if they're different.
My plan for a long time was to use this same strategy for Watchmen, however the initial trailers, the stills, and the cast all started to make me think, "Hey, this is almost exactly the same!" Because my guard is down, I'm starting to worry; new stuff that is coming to light in this last short amount of time is not necessarily as perfect as I would like.
I'm still excited about the movie to a truly insane level, but I'm getting really worried,. I just had to say something.
Also, I love Boston. ^_^

I've been tagged for a meme by my coolest cousin, so I feel as if I must comply.
The meme is to look at your sixth picture folder and take the sixth picture from that. Then tag five people. My sixth folder is called "Dr. Horrible." Yeah, I'm cool. My picture folders are basically all stuff saved from the internet. XD
Just saying, I didn't include icons in the image count, because that'd be kinda boring, to just have a little 100X100 pixel thing posted. Taking that into consideration, the sixth picture in this folder is this:

This picture is adorable! Uh, yeah, apparently I saved this January 21, probably from one of the Dr. Horrible communities or something. So, yay!

I tag...
1. Someone
2. Someone Else
3. You
4. Your Mom
5.
So, hi! How are you all doing? Good? That's wonderful.

I, for one, had a lovely day today, and I would like to share it with you all if that's all well and good. This day started very early, however, so I am probably somewhat rambley and nonsensical. Deal with it.

Now, boys and girls, this is the story of how awesome these two people called Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson are.

A friend of mine told me that Jason and Grant would be speaking at Taunton High on January 10 about a month ago. There was no way I could miss this, so I got work off, and have been excited for a very long time. I didn't say anything at school because I would have loved to have people come, but I couldn't really invite people along.

Today, blah, blah, blah, I got to the school where there were already people lining up. We got free t-shirts that signified that we were volunteers, and we did menial little jobs like making sure people in line already had tickets. Not too long after, Jason walks by, and I internally freak out. Soon after that, my friend's uncle, who is crazy good friends with basically all the TAPS crew, came by and told us to follow him. Off we go to the parking lot where we were introduced to Grant and Jason. They are so nice and wicked cool! We all took boxes, and went to the elevator. I was in an elevator with Jason and Grant. :D Then I helped set up the TAPS merch table where I was introduced to Jason and Grant's respective wives. They are incredibly nice, and Jason's wife likes my hair. ^_^

After a while, the lecture itself started. Along with being really nice, they are so funny! I don't want to bore anyone, but I already warned about the rambling, and it is very exciting for me. Some general bits I would like to mention:

*They had a Powerpoint presentation thing that they were using as a basis of presentation, and one of the slides said "Who are we?" and their names came up, but over the wrong person. They decided that they didn't "want to confuse anyone," so they took a minute to switch places.

*Grant kept making fun of the audience when people would randomly shout and stuff; it was awesome.

*Grant said "Let's break it down." This led into a conversation about how he meant "go in depth more," as opposed to break dancing and the like. Regardless, Grant decided to start beat boxing. It was amazing. Also, there was a deaf lady in the audience, so there was a lady signing for her, which Grant noticed and said, "Did anyone notice what the lady signed when I was beat boxing?! Do it again!" And he started beat boxing again. I did not realize there was a sign for that. XD

*There was a slide that had an extra "is" in a sentence. (I think the sentence was, "Client had is feelings of...") Presumably, Grant had created the slide show; he said, "I doesn't know how that got in there!"

I realize there wasn't a lot of mention of Jason being freaking hilarious, but he was.

Anyway, in the presentation they had some EVPs that were creepy as always. The creepiest was in a house in the area of that of Sharon Tate, and it sounded like someone screaming, "Why are you killing me!" One was scarily clear and sounded like a kid saying something along the lines of, "They don't want us." Another featured laughter, and as it turns out, Grant paid enough attention to type the correct number of "Ha"s in it. That's dedication, my friends.

They also had some videos. This is where Grant mentioned that eerie music, such as that heard on the show, is actually the result of activity. XD Both of them clearly dislike the music. They showed a few that had been featured on the show, but they had this other one. Before the show was on the air, they were at this lady's house where she experienced a lot of activity.
Apparently, she would walk up to the house with her hands full, and the door would open itself, but it would slam shut on her husband. This resulted in several broken fingers and a broken ankle. Anyway, she often thought she heard sounds coming from her pool, so they set up a camera by the pool. The first part of the video had Jason walking by. As he walked up to the gate, it opened and hit him. When he tried to go through again, it swung back and hit him again, making it hard for him to get through. (Side note, he made this angry face in the video, and Grant pointed it out with his laser pointer circling screen!Jason's face, saying "Can you see the WTF?") The second part of the video was Grant walking by. The gate swung open so fast and hard that it knocked Grant out of the frame! Jason said that that clip is his screen saver, and we watched the video of Grant getting viciously attacked by a gate several times over in rapid succession.

One of my favorite parts of the presentation was six different real cases. They said what the client reported experiencing, what TAPS investigators experienced, and then after accepting guesses, they said what the conclusion was. These were amazing. Their commentary was also amazing. Most mentions of "activity" got turned into vague innuendo, especially when the activity was mentioned in the bedroom. Talk of feeling as if one was being watched, also especially when in bed, were also twisted about. XD

The first one, the client saw apparitions, his wife often woke up sick in the night, and they often felt like they were being watched. As it turns out, they had an old alarm clock next to their bed that let out high EMF levels and caused the people to think this was all happening.

The second one, a lady felt like she was being watched, she saw strange things, and whatnot. Turns out, she was on a new prescription that reacted with another medication, acting as a hallucinogen. They advertised that they would sell the recipe for the meds in the back after the lecture was over.

With another, the client felt like she was being watched, she experienced activity several times during the night (at which point Jason, "That's what I'm talking 'bout!"), and she heard strange noises. She was the only one in the house to get any of this. When they investigated, they found a stash of marijuana. "We found the ghost of Mary Jane!" They also started to offer to sell this, but then changed their minds. XD

The fourth, the client was experiencing rapid temperature changes, she seemed to think the spirit disliked her husband, and she often felt like she was being watched. She was the only one to feel any of this. Turns out, she was experiencing menopause and didn't realize it.

The fifth was my favorite. The client said she heard and saw things, and she insisted on repeated visits. The reality: she wanted to investigate Jason "...in the basement... alone." Yeah, this really happened! Jason was saying that he was terrified, as her husband was, like, seven feet tall and "a professional rock crusher." Jason had to radio Grant and "pray he had his ear piece in" because when the door opened, he wanted it to be Grant, not this lady's giant husband. XD

The last one was an actual haunting. The people in the house ended up moving because of it. The client heard noises, saw strange stuff, they were all called by name, and the furniture would rearrange itself every day. This was the only one that TAPS actually experienced, although that should come as no surprise if you noticed the explanations of the others. While taking guesses, Grant said, "No one say 'It was the ghost of an interior decorator!'" at which point Jason says, in a gay voice, "Oh! This would really great over there!" (Try to imagine it. It will make you happy.) He then said, "You will never hear that again."

They also complained a bit about editing, as they cut out some awesome stuff. For example, they were talking about what they did to Brian at the St. Augustine lighthouse. Brian had said he stopped smoking, and they were to treat him bad if they caught him smoking. Before the trip to FL, he bought a pack, so the concocted a plan. They had him put one of the recording devices in the light house. First, Jason said put it halfway up. When Brian came back, Grant said they needed it all the way up. After moving it, Jason told him it needed to be halfway. He was sent up again to change batteries. I think they said they sent him up there 7 times. He doesn't smoke anymore. XD

They kept saying how they do everything for the fun. That was totally evident. ^_^

Afterward, I got some things signed and a picture taken. I got a picture signed, and Grant wrote, "What the fetch," so I might end up saying that... I talked to them a little, and stuff. They are fantastic.

Long post is long. Sorry.

So yeah. I love Jason and Grant even more than I did before. I wish other people could have come. I hope my stories portray some of the awesome. I also really hope that book is good!

Yeah, I read Lili's meme...thing. I guess I was tagged. I never listen to those, but I am tired and silly, and will answer before I think better of it. Now pretty please read. :D

1) Name: Kathryn
2) Male/Female: I am female!
3) Were you named after anyone? Don't really know. My great-grandmother was Catherine and my aunt was named after her, but I don't know if that has anything to do with me.
4) Does your name mean anything? It's Greek for "pure."
5) Nick Name(s): Schroeder (has morphed to Schro), Prongs, etc.
6) What do you think you look like name wise: Uh... Kathryn and/or Schroeder?
7) Date Of Birth: March 1. First day babies are cool, aren't we? XD
8) Place of Birth and Current Location: Born in Boston, I live in Raynham.
9) Nationality: Irish, Portuguese, and little bits of other things.
10) Astrology Sign: Pisces
11) Chinese Astrology Sign: Goat or something
12) Religion: Catholic
13) What’s your favorite smell? The use of the word unusual throws me. I can't, like, eat swords or anything...
20) Righty, Lefty, or Ambidextrous? Right-handed. I do better lefty cartwheels, though. Go figure.
21) Gay, Straight, Bi, or Other? Straight.
22) What do you do for a living? That's as far as I've figured it out...
81) Hiding in your closet? Clothes, stuffed animals, art stuff... I'm afraid to open the right side of my closet for fear of being crushed in the ensuing avalanche.
82) Under your bed: I believe there's a white board. There are also probably socks, because my socks love to hide under my bed.
83) The name of one of your closest/best friends? Erin. (Deal with it. Winter. I love the cold. The customers do not agree with my opinion.
88) Your favorite holiday? Christmas. I like getting to hang with my family, and I get to see Peter and David on Christmas Eve, which is cool, even if David was being a camera!stalker this year.
89) A material weakness? Uh... I can't think of anything in particular.
90) The weirdest food or drink that you like: Apparently it's weird that I will stand there and eat olives from the tin when there's nothing else to do at work. XD
91) At the top of your “to-do list”? Apply to college and finish school work, I suppose. I also need to get my license.
92) The hardest thing about growing up: I feel like my mentality has stayed about the same as it was when I was little... I'm cool with things.
93) A pet peeve? I've got a few. Pointless drama and people chewing loudly are probably the top two.
94) Your scariest moment: Recently... see my last post.
95) Your attitude about love? It's out there. I think you need to work at it, though... I wouldn't know anything from experience, though.
96) The most outrageous, desperate thing you’ve done to attract the attention of the opposite sex? I haven't done anything outrageous or desperate. I just, you know, act like myself. Maybe that's why I don't have a boyfriend. XD
97) The worst feeling in the world: Feeling alone. And bored.
98) The best feeling in the world: Laughter. I like that one.
99) Who sent this to you? I read it on a certain eljay, and I was tagged.
100)Tag more people? Naw. If you want, do it.

Have a picture of the Comedian! If you've seen this picture, you won't care if you see it again! I might have a way to get this poster for free. I'll get back to you if it works out.

Recall the creepy, creepy attic of my workplace? One of the waitresses at one point said, "It's haunted!" I don't think so, but that doesn't make it any less creepy.

So, the other day, we needed straws. Guess where those are! At the bottom of the stairs, I turned on the light switch, headed up the squeaky stairs as the light flickered on (because it always flickers on like lights in cliche horror films), and went over to get the straws. Now, the boxes of straws are located on a shelf, and behind the shelf there is this creepy storage-ish area, with a scary, cracked old mirror-looking thing, and it looks like the area keeps going, because the lights don't continue very far back. I would swear this place was used to film a horror flick at some point. Anyway, while getting the straws, I noticed that the light in the enclave area was not on, so I leaned in to see what the deal was. In hindsight, I haven't a clue what was to be accomplished by looking closer. As I was leaning, one of the boxes of straws in the back decided to fall onto the floor (accompanied by an obnoxiously loud sound) at which point the light turned on sans the usual flicker. I promptly ran back down stairs, straws in tow, and I didn't stop shaking for a lot longer than I would have preferred.

I hate that attic.

It's strange. I almost compulsively check my friends list, but I almost never post. Here's remedying the situation.
Some random, somewhat nonsensical points to make:
1. It is finally vacation; we should all celebrate.
2. Snow is really lovely.
3. I like plushies. A lot. I think, before making my Nite Owl plush, I might have to make a Matt Doyle!Rupert. (As it turns out, the name is not spelled all... German-y.)
4. Watchmen needs to come out, like, now. 'Nuff said.
5. Kittens are adorably adorable.
6. Cute stuff is cute. <strike>I am certainly not insinuating anything.</strike>
7. Brian needs to go away. That or I should stop watching the show... I think the first is a better option.
So, yeah. There's that.
Also, Portrait of a Girl is still stuck in my head. Why can't it be a different song from the musical?!

I've not posted for a while, so I figured I could do that now. What else is there to do at this time of the night, er, morning besides find fun stuff on Youtube? I am sort of tired, and a result, this will be admittedly stream of consciousness or whatever. Okay? Good.
<strike>Postcard. Freaking postcard.</strike>
Books are awesome. I say that as I am looking at a pile of books that I recently bought at a Borders that seemed to only play Beatles songs and the B-52s. Am I super dorky for wanting to read Another Note when that comes out? That's to be in stores soon, you know. XD
I really want to see Cry-Baby. Like really. Anyone who will see this is probably more than aware of this, but I do. James Snyder is made of win and awesome, and he possesses a truly amazing voice. There are other reasons I want to see it as well, like the wicked cool choreography, but no matter what, I want see.
I am currently super in love with Ludo. I want to be Andrew's best friend!
And for the most important news, it is officially summer! I am so very happy! Who else is looking forward to TV shows and movies? I certainly am. ^_^ Also, bare? I am psyched! I want this summer to be ace. Everyone needs to work on this. XD
Monty Python still owns. J'adore. I think it just always is nice to say.
<strike>Did I say postcard? Because... postcard.</strike>
I quite like my mood theme. Ace Attorney = Epic win of epicness. See?
Note: the names in the following will be restricted to initials to protect the peopleses identities. This is the interwebs, after all. I think anyone who has heard some of my work stories will be able to guess who each is. XD

So, the SATs were today (super fun), and I haven’t been feeling quite up to par for a bit. However, I had work, where a certain incredibly entertaining cook (henceforth known as “J” hehe) was being, well, incredibly entertaining. I come with stories!

So, first off, watching somebody follow someone else by pretty much walking on their heels (after announcing “I’m going to follow you!”) is quite funny to watch.

Head Chef (“H”)- All the guys here are a bunch of f*gs! Biggest bunch of drag queens you’ll see!
J- [to me] I am not a drag queen! [to H] I’m not a drag queen. I’m a transvestite, there’s a difference!

J- It’s like Puzzle Master 5000 with cheese shakers!

J- How many retards does it take to fill a slip? Look at the line to find out! Oh!

J- Bye! I’ll miss ya…like I miss diarrhea.
Me- [laughs]
J- And that’s not a lot.
Me- (sarcasm, as if you wouldn’t realize) Really now?
J- yep! It’s like a joke!
Me- [mr lord rim-shot thingey]
J- Haha rim-shot! Dah nah da!

(most insightful thing I’ve heard in ages) J-[sees brownie] I f*cking love brownies!

J- [to T] You bringing your brother?
T- I don’t have a brother. (lies, by the way)
J- Can I be your brother?!
T- No!

J comes up front and Counter Person (“C”) is all excited.
J- You sure are excited.
C- It’s only ‘cause you’re here!
Me- (jokingly to C) You sure are sketchy.
J- No, she’s more than sketchy.
Me- Anything come to mind?
C- What?
J- Not really. [to C] You’re more than sketchy.
C says something I don’t remember
J- Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn. What’s that from?!
Me- Aw, man, I don’t remember! [my mind had shut off]
J- Me neither. It’s some French movie. [walks away]
[later]
J- Les Miserables!
Me- What?
J- The movie the quote’s from. It’s black and white and French.
Me- That’s a musical…
J- Nuh uh!
Me- Yeah, Eponine and all them. Are you thinking, like, Casablanca?
J- Yeah! That’s the one! That’s French, right? You’re a smart one!

I like asterisks.

Why, hello there. (I wrote that in the dust on the podium back stage, but, yet again, someone erased it.) I haven't updated in a while, so I thought I should. It's better when I'm tired, but I don't think it will be able to live up to some of my previous sleep-deprived!ideas.

Cabaret is Cabaret. The choreography isn't as mindlessly simple as it has been, but a lot of people can't do it, so that kinda doesn't help much. I would love it if people would count the music, however, before they can do that, they need to listen to the freaking music. This is for the sake of everyone; it is not just my quest for perfection. I have been told by a few people that I am the most entertaining dancer, which I certainly take as a compliment. The stupider you feel, the better it looks, right? But what about if you don't feel stupid, and you just want to be entertaining? I am also apparently the best tapper in the show. Would it be smug of me to agree? I think I've had the most tappety experience... I dunno, I like it (tap, that is). The Cabaret!Boys kinda make my life...some of them at least. <strike>Emu</strike> The dancer costumes are, yet again, ugly, but what can be done.

It's been lovely outside lately. I hope everyone has been able to enjoy it at least some of the time.

I am pretty musical happy right now. This is due, in part, to the fact that I am going to see Spring Awakening on Sunday. *happy dance* We will hopefully get to see Bria Charles Johnson and Skylar Astin and Jonathan Groff(yay!). We will almost definitely get to see Jonathan B. Wright! (You're welcome, Pads. XD) Also, it would be lovely if Matt Doyle would get to play Ernst, because then we would have original folk for everyone (except Moritz, but there's nothing to be done about that one) and he would have a big(er) part. Least he's in the ensemble no matter what! And then I want to go back and see Spring Awakening again when Matt Doyle is Hanschen, because it doesn't make sense.

John Gallagher Jr. is going to be in an off-Broadway play starting in May (the 12th, I believe). I want to see it, 'cause it's John Gallagher Jr. And he speaks in an Irish accent, apparently.

I need to make more deranged cards. They're fun.

I also need sleep. I don't think that is as dreadfully obvious as it could have been...or as I expected it to be. I don't even know why I'm still up.

And have a fun picture, cause they just seem like bestest friends.
And now for something completely pointless!
So I finished Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, and I am very sad, because I finished the last Phoenix Wright game. I do not want poor Phoenix to be a hobo, and I want Miles Edgeworth to come back! *cries* Due to what I previously stated and my love for this website (that has lots and lots and lots of fun Ace Attorney related awesomeness), have some pictures as a sort of tribute! Look at them all! You know you want to!
First up, Phoenix on a bicycle!
A good, old, official favorite!
One cannot go wrong with a chibi defense lawyer
You knew it was coming.
I'm sad he won't be back either!
We are ignoring everything in this picture except the three figures in the top left corner. Specifically, the figure in the middle ^_^
Concept art! I want his hat!
They should have kept the bow.
INSANELY early concept art! Phoenix is first and Miles is second. They changed a leetle. And is Phoenix wearing platform shoes?
Hehehe
So. Freaking. Cute. I think Franzy is pretty cool, but EDGEY!
And a big group picture to tie it all together!
That makes me feel a little bit better. If you want to know, the site I got these off of is http://www.court-records.net/art.htm The site itself (that without the art.htm) is very rad, I must say. In fact, you should go there and look at all the pretty pictures!
ADDED: Sadly, there are no more ruffles (no jabot, no cravat, whatever you choose to call it). This is what it has become He is Kristoph's, the Mia of the game, brother. And Padfoot, I command for you to go to http://court-records.net/ as the picture on the homepage is made of win (it has Apollo, so you know). Yay!
And some hobo!Phoenix, just 'cause. Make judgements as you will.

Pay It Forward- “I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don't know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.”

I signed up on me megarad cousin, Jessie's blog. Yep! I dunno what you'll get, but you'll get something from me, so you know it'll be awesome!

So after discussing with a manager/next in line for owner person at work what I may want to go into for college on a particularly slow day (a long list, one of which was video production) I was asked if I wanted to film a video for the website for the place that's going to be set up. Yay experience!

Martin Scorsese's next movie wif Leonardo DiCaprio is going to have some parts filmed in Taunton! It's a shame I had work today, 'cause I would have gone to audition to be an extra. Either an emaciated concentration camp prisoner or a mental patient. Moohaha! Oh well, no big deal.

Auditions went well. I got to act like a spaz to a song James Marsden sings from Hairspray (Nicest Kids in Town). One of the assistanty teaching ladies saw me and seemed extremely amused! Cindy knows my name this year. I found out when she gave me a compliment so that was cool. Reportedly, this year'll have lots of tap, so I'm excited. I'm actually sorta liking the process this year!

Yeah... ^_^

Some insanely insignificant Simon videos. This one has him as a Bad Idea Bear in the background. Simon in falsetto, really. And singing in his normal voice. I like that one hehe. AND an odd one. Here. The quality is bad, but I'm amused by Simon's dancing at the end XD

Yeah, we need a Simon character in the campaign.

So, some friends and I were working on yet another lit project yesterday into the early hours of the morning. As a result, we are all quite tired, and I probably got everyone else sick. I apologize for this, as it was not my intention. We had to finish, and I tried to be as generally non-coughing as I could. Also, the massive amount of stage makeup has appeared to cause my right eye to have an allergic reaction, as per what used to happen with stage makeup at dance. I was an STD! (People don't realize that the Red Death from Masque of the Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe was an STD) Other than these little things, I think it's going to (what with not having edited it, yet) turn out great!
It really, for the most part, was quite fun, I'm willing to say. As a result of doing this, I have determined a list of things that my friends and I should never be allowed to have access to. It is as follows: cameras (especially DV cameras), food coloring, projects, makeup (especially the stage variety), and socks. Especially the socks. There are probably more things, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
Me Simon picture for this post won't upload. I hope you can wait XD
More about the project later, maybe.

My, my, my. For someone who was told to update their livejournal more often, my last post is sadly lacking in comments! I think we should rectify that, don't you?
I are sick. It is very fun, I assure you. I couldn't speak for the first part of the day, which is a very odd feeling. I had to call work and say I couldn't go. I felt bad because it is crazy understaffed, but I don't think any customers would like to have a sick person around their food.
I got a new jacket the other day, and I love it. It's one of those, like, blazer-thing over a hoodie looking thing, I dunno. It's amazing, because a) I really like what the kind of jacket looks like, and b) it's a Gryffindor jacket! There's a patch, and the hood is scarlet and gold, and the sleeve-y bit that shows from under the blazer-y sleeve is scarlet. Have a picture, as I can quite obviously not explain things properly today. I think I look quite adorable in it XD
Have some pictures! I can't renege on something I said I would do, after all.
Hehe. He's a puppet
It's a bird! It's a plain! No...wait... no it's not
These folks should come across the Atlantic for us
*is entertained by screen caps*
Another incoherent post completed!
